So what you are are saying is that I need to book the Thursday off to bake all day like some crazed Mary Berry on amphetamines? And I forgot to include coffee cake in that list too.

Is Hong coming? If so I can adapt the lemon drizzle to be dairy free using soya milk and margarine instead of butter - it tastes just as nice but won't bring out his odd cow allergy.

ClunkintheUK
10-06-13, 01:15 PM
Well the coffee cake would help with the crazed Merry Berry thing. just triple the caffeine and everything should work out just super.

Babysitter - sorted
Tent - Located (but at another house elsewhere in London)
Sleeping bags - Located but unchecked
Airbed - Oh yeah, that spung a leak, uhm, moving on...
Panniers - Swore blind I wouldn't use them again after last time due to how bad the zips got...
Bike - OK provided I don't want lights & forward motion for any extended period.

Oh and the in-laws are here this week and I'm in Belgrade the week after so no time to sort anything.

Yeah I'm pretty much ready I reckon :D

I'll be standing in for LPH for mid-ride action shots but if anyone else is bringing any halfway decent photo gear with them we could do with some decent pics before the ride-out to make sure we have several thousand mostly identical pictures to fill the internet with afterwards.

Anyone putting their hand up to be official pre-ride photographer as I'll need a head start to get into position for the action shots on one of the cool right-handers.

We can forget about cakes and bikinis as I'm sure they'll sort themselves out all by themselves.

I'm fairly sure there will be some other girls coming who can complain about the state of the toilet seat and the frequency of farting after dark.

Littlepeahead
13-06-13, 01:47 PM
Depends if I can have a chance to catch up properly with my dad before then. He's going into hospital for open heart surgery 2 days after AR. Though the hospital have postponed it twice already.

Jason H
13-06-13, 02:01 PM
Ah, that's understandable. Best of luck for the man!

Postponed twice before...bloody NHS. It's great; but at the same time rubbish!

Littlepeahead
13-06-13, 02:12 PM
At least my Dad's is planned surgery. Father in law keeled over in his office ten years ago with a heart attack, an NHS ambulance was on it's way to a lesser emergency nearby and re-routed and they got him going again, so while I grumble about the postponement, without them he wouldn't be here today.

If you're bothered about quality of photos, have a gander at my fb page 'LewSpeight Visuals'.

Not sure how much gear im taking down, for transportation reasons but yeh i'm down for that.
