Ok folks,
I was thinking about having the largs Ice Cream run early March. How does Sunday 3rd sound to you guys?
I have two route ideas, neither of them ace if you ask me (but you usually don't)
Option A - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Hein+Gericke+Ltd,+Great+Western+Road,+G lasgow&daddr=Carbeth+Inn,+Glasgow+to:Haul+Rd%2FA817+to:He lls+Glen+to:A815+to:Largs&hl=en&sll=56.01297,-4.678802&sspn=0.462143,1.056061&geocode=FcmNVAMdR8m-_yFzlkz8WoKVCikhUwTgMUSISDFzlkz8WoKVCg%3BFcg4VgMdq F29_yGIJIAF1O3ugimtrWPAvjiISDGIJIAF1O3ugg%3BFT90Vw MdhX-3_w%3BFVvMWQMdK7m0_ylJiCAPIg-JSDH-D2aja7Sqyw%3BFeGMVgMdJzK0_w%3BFbdWUwMdMru1_ylNxPgO U7iJSDFmSL6KUtRgQA&oq=dunoon+ferr&mra=ls&t=m&z=10 taking the chance on the Rest and be thankful and heading that way from Gericke, heading over the ferry at Dunoon and then down to Largs.
Option B - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=j%26S+hamilton&daddr=Strathaven+to:Muirkirk+to:Stewarton+to:Lugto n+to:Largs&hl=en&ll=55.652023,-4.456329&spn=0.466452,1.056061&sll=55.741801,-4.456329&sspn=0.465382,1.056061&geocode=FSUXUwMdRyPC_yEb2yyg2IQIcSlRD7BWNBWISDEb2y yg2IQIcQ%3BFeuKUQMdvfvB_ylZB1hkNBSISDG7cqUIuwaeww% 3BFYg4TwMdo_PB_ykN-kP-BCKISDF07JEOTwfBDQ%3BFdWbUQMdzSC7_ynFOOzDmDSISDELv 6BOUQewBw%3BFWqMUgMd8dq6_ylvkkr-DDWISDGX1_eEkXNC4w%3BFbdWUwMdMru1_ylNxPgOU7iJSDFmS L6KUtRgQA&oq=muirkirk&mra=ls&t=m&z=10 Starting Heading from J&S hamilton and heading down to deepest darkest Ayrshire (being honest not been on some of those roads in years)
Let me know what you think about it? If anyone has a route idea post it up :)

So far Sunday 3rd is good for me. And option A.
Sounds good to me! Option A please :D
Option B, if you do A, I'll probably do B an meet you @ Largs!
weather dependent with me as it's a fair old trek just to get to either start but if i did come it would be option B.

Every rideout should involve a ferry crossing.

I rarely venture north so I would vote for up n' round n' some ferry action.
Going to a gig the nicht before but should be ok for the run as its ambient mumbo-jumbo mumblers Sigur Ros. So chances of getting trashed: Nil.

I might be up for this, if it's ok to tag along of course. Weather permitting as it looks to be 5+ hours in the saddle.
All welcome Dave, just let chucca know if you are coming along or not!
Ace, I'll confirm nearer the time.
Went for a ride to Largs yesterday with a couple of mates there was quite a lot of bikes there.

Nice to meet you too. It wouldn't be a Sunday run without at least one late junction, slamming on the brakes, slidey back wheel incident::rolleyes::! Hope you enjoyed yourself anyway.
As for the CCCP space logo, no good reason other than it kind of fitted with the Sputnik thing. Why sputnik, i hear you ask? No good reason for that either, although i did once have a cat called sputnik. Why? Er, no good reason!

It was good to meet everyone again (or for the first time) one time on a run I'll get my head out of my @rse and actually calm down a bit and say hello and talk to everyone and maybe even one day I'll remember everyones name...

Didn't see my stalker on the way home - hope you found the way back ok!
You're lucky Sputnik - my stalking abilities failed me on this occasion! I was last to leave the petrol station in Largs and kinda got caught up in a string of traffic (a kind lorry drived flashed me out or it would have been worse), but as I was heading up to the traffic lights they turned to red. Once I got right up the hill , I could see you were all long gone. Long story short, I ended up in erm, ahem...Port Glasgow! I know, I know, it is all rather embarrassing! Ended up on a wee B road that I have never been on before, so wasn't all bad.
Dawn - I thought you were going to come along for the run? You should of, as it was all good fun. I'm sure I still owe you a coffee!
Crash tester - it all becomes clear now! I thought as we hadn't met before I would say "hello" and shake hands, but I can remember your wee face - you probably thought I was trying to steal your phone! LOL. Good for you for not disappearing there and then!
Anyway, had great fun boys and girls. Thanks!
Thinking back my poor little 4 cylinder Honda was feeling rather out of place in the Suzuki/Triumph 2/3 cylinder mix!... Do I need to buy a Triumph now?...

Ooops, I feel a bit bad that you were deserted. I had looked back at one point and thought you were a few bikes behind but then realised (many miles) later that it wasn't you at all and wondered if you'd opted for a scenic route home. Turns out you had!
