****ing snow. And why did I have to realise I like Jameson (sp) whisky this evening? Bllody hell. Damn teenage daughter annoying me causing me to stomp out of the room in annoyance at her wittering crap over Mad Max 2, how the hell am I supposed to be able to focus on the screen to dock her a months allowance via online banking this evening when I'm too ****ed to focus on the keyboard. Damnation.... I'm not ****ed you know....

I won't have anyone bad mouth Mad Max 2. If someone did that, I'd probably slash their old man's car tyres or something (too soon, sorry! [-o<)

That was mine and Spanks plan this year. Alas I hit upon hard times so he bought a ThunderAce instead. Next year maybe.
I only get withdrawal symptons when i have the opportunity to go out on the bike, but can't due to other commitments.

Smudge rides a Triumph 955i
Didn't find any problem riding to our house in the snow today. I'd post a picture but i'm on my phone.

Do they work well in the snow?
Mrs has put her foot down with a firm hand, no more riding for me until the snow melts.

Knobblies work way better in this weather so you can ride one. They're good in the snow, but ice is still your enemy. Wouldn't recommend any leg out cornering unless you're a speedway rider. :)

Yes and no, main roads would be fine but snow covered roads where there is compacted ice maybe not.
My road is bad ATM, as it's not used by passing traffic just residents, it takes ages to clear.
This is me a couple of years ago but didn't have knobblies on then...

Looks a laugh. I managed to get the SV out of my estate in the snow the other morning, main roads were gritted and fine. Got some funny looks from everyone on the estate removing snow from their cars. But the snow has had chance to melt a little and freeze under the fresh snow.

You've got hybrids on there though Specialone haven't ya? I reckon with knobblies you'd have faired a lot better. I used to ride with Spank. Me on a DTR125 with hybrids and him an a 200EXC with knobblies and whenever we hit anything slushy uphill I would wheelspin my way up and he'd be up there like it was nothing. :)

A smidge too soon. I am now sober and have the prospect of digging the car out and getting to the tyre shop this afternoon as none of the mobile fitters can come out until tomorrow.

Yeah kind of, those were my old avon distanzias, i liked them on firm dirt but anything else they werent good, fecking brilliant on the road though, even in the wet.they are a good compromise tyre.
Ive got tkc80's on now, still not a fully knobbly and work very well in the dirt, only really struggle where any tyre would.
Took this today...
Can confirm compacted ice is not grippy at all, just took down my drive and back, bad move lol
