Buy some depron, cut to shape, glue to top of plane.

probably time to find a new plane! at least that was always my excuse!
you could build one, i loved making profile jets as can be seen here:

i made a 3D F-14 and numerous others. And very easy to fly too.
HA HA, having read thru the site it would seem they liked my own design one too!
(Don't know who's getting the paypal donations tho, its not me!!)

oh right, didnt think of making a wing, would like a pattern of the original to make from though, but well worth bearing in mind. thanks :cool:

i know hobbystores used to stock a lot of spare wings for cubs, how ever i am not promoting that useless chain of shops, prehaps worth a call though.
cheers wideboy, have spoken with my local hobbystores in chelmsford today about some parts. Unfortunately the wing is no longer available, so its a case of finding new, old stock.
Have found some in weymouth, but they wont post, and I dont fancy an 8 hour round trip for a £10 wing :mrgreen:
New plane would be nice, but want to practice with this cheapie one and crash this before a nice new one ;)

Making a correctly profiled wing from depron would be a challenge, but doable. Glue a few sheets together and get the sander out. :) Or you can do the whole skeleton thing (which is overkill) which I did for my B25 custom build ...

IIRC the phase 3 cub is EPP not depron, i had a phase 3 fantom and it was EPP
but the homo that is fallout has the correct idea if its to be made from depron

Doesn't really matter what the rest of it is made out of.
If the deprons too heavy that's just an excuse to get a bigger motor.

it does, EPP absorbs impact much better that depron hence a lot of park flyers being made of it, depron is too brittle in comparison.

You're wrong as usual Gav. Depron is the hardest substance known to man. The only thing harder is the gook glue that holds it together. And me.

i dislike you
lol at you two, that B25 marauder is very nice!!
If I dont get that piper sorted Ive got a Lanyu piper cub TW-740 that just needs the electrics adding, but I`d like the spec sheet for it to know what I should be fitting to get it working.

That's what glue is for gav.
Depron breaks more than it crushes so it glues back better.
Edit: it's actually the plot for the next hulk film, they trap him in a depron cage and he can only get out when it's heated up enough to bend.

B25 = Mitchell
B26 = Marauder
A26 = Invader
LankyIanB = Pedant.......

Thanks mate. I crashed it on the maiden though. Receiver glitch! Lesson learnt: If you're going to spend 3 months building something from scatch, don't use a £10 budget Chinese receiver to finish it off. :rolleyes:

And this is where we get back to not using budget radio equipment
Fallout

It's all about money dude. If you're flush and swish like you, wiping your **** on £50 notes like you do and routinely giving Worthers Original to orphans, not because you like them, but just because you can, then expensive radio equipment is fine. If you wipe your **** on stinging nettles and beat up tamps to steal the newspaper lining from their hobo boots, then budget radio equipment is what you have to use.

Plus all radio equipment seems glitchy in south wonston. I blame the army camp.

When are we going to get flying then? My cheap little EPP P51 is probably still sky worthy (hate you too)

When ever. Electric wise my glider and helicopter are ready to go
lady luck was with me today, only found possibly one of the last wing sets for my version of piper cub in the country!!!
Only sent off about 20 emails and tons of phone calls to various model shops
Sussex model centre in worthing had one thats been gathering dust for the past 8 years, so within the next week should have all the bits to get that airborne, and got the ESC and motor coming for the other Lanyu piper.

Never throw anything away, no matter how damaged the wing is it can be fixed with enough glue,
