After fitting a reversing kit to my builders van, I have been made aware that it actually requires 24v feeds to operate as it is meant for a lorry. This is a problem due to the van being 12v!
Can I buy a cheap 12v to 24v inverter to fit inline with the reverse light wiring?
Thanks in advance!

There are tons around, mostly for Industrial use, probably too much money for what you want.
Try, rswww.com

I'm hoping that it'll work with just the 12v from the lights but if not then I need it to be as cheap as possible. Found some on ebay from china for £13 each but I'd ideally like it to be a damn site cheaper than that!
I'll check those sites now, chears.

Probably me but do you mean a converter to raise the voltage rather than change from ac/dc. Seem to be loads of cheap converters on the net and we often fitted 24-12v droppers for radios in trucks but it will depend how much current you require as to cost.If it is only for the audible reverser i would imagine a cheapy would be good enough

That I did. I want a 12v DC to 24v DC converter. Maximum draw will be something less than 2 amps as 1 is just for the reversing sensor ECU and another will be for the display/beeper.
One more option here (http://www.brocott.co.uk/electronic-devices/power-modules/dc-dc-voltage-converter-6-14dc-11-26dc-2-amp-m029.html), still in the same price range though.

Added bonuses of being German made and sold in the uk so I wont have to wait weeks. Cheers

No longer needed as I have been reliably informed by the company in question that it will work with either 12v or 24v.
Cheers all for your help.
