Hi,

I did a spot of cleanup on the bike yesterday (Brasso-ing the crap out of the downpipe, and a proper clean-up of the chain+greasing) and this morning the bike felt much smoother in accelerations, but also like it's a bit less powerful?
I'm a fairly new rider so maybe I'm missing something here.. I really don't know. Anyone have ideas on what this might be?

Oh and this is an '02 33bhp restricted curvy (using washers) if that helps at all.

Thanks!

lambda.

I would give it time and see if it really has lost power or just "feels" like it.
I often find different days can make differences for no apparent reason, things like fuel level, and the strength of the wind even!

I had a 2ltr turbo astra coupe and I was forever worried that I was down on power for some reason so I devised a test, I would select 3rd, and with the in car timer, floor it at 30mph and stop the clock at 80. (On the same piece of road every time)
It was always within point diddly squat of a second even if it didn't feel as fast as last time!

+1

every time i get on my old dr it feels different but only when i thinking about it.
Same goes for noises, if im listening for them ill find a new one and think some things amiss.
I wouldnt worry and just keep riding and youll soon forget about it and the bike will feel normal again.

Lumps, knocks, vibration and noise make things feel faster.
