I got my Curvy a new ZeroGravity Touring Screen. I was expecting it to look much bigger but it's just a bit taller that the stock screen.

It's raining at the moment, so I've not tested it yet.

Here's the before picture:

Here's what it looks like now:

That's much longer, should be very good for motorway. Where did you get you hand muffs from?

Is it much longer?? Actually comparing the before and after again I can see it certainly is....Lol.

My 104 mile roundtrip commute to work should be more enjoyable cos I do about 80 miles on the motorway.

The muffs are Givi; got it from my local bike shop (Flitwick Motorcycles).......I try and support them as much as I can.

It takes a bit getting used to it though. I took it off after riding home from the shop and abandoned it for 3 weeks before giving it another shot and it's made riding in winter more bearable.

That looks good, interested to hear how it is on motorway. My stock screen fire air at my neck which then blows up into my lid. Not the best thing on long runs :-)

I've just done a 22 mile run from Bedford to Luton via the M1; I can't say I've seen a positive difference yet, definitely not.

I can feel the wind hitting my head much more than the stock screen......or maybe I'm paying too much attention.

I'll see how it performs on my ride back home.

The reason is that the stock screen allows wind to hit the chest more than the helmet so certain longer screens may actually give a worse feeling. In your case I would say tuck a little bit or sit a little further back on the seat when on the motorway to get out of that turbulent zone. Should be more comfy.

I certainly prefer the chest; didn't like how my head kept bobbing in the wind yesterday. I reckon I'd feel some neck strain over long distances, something I've never had to worry about previously.

I tried that on the ride back home but gave it up quickly. I'm a fairly bulky bloke.........others may call me fat :-) so it isn't too comfortable. Also I like to see a bit further than the back of the car in front if me, so tucking on the motorway gave me a weird sense of insecurity.

I'll try sitting further back to see if that helps.......probably can't do that for some days now cos if the snow!!!!

OK I'm back to the stock screen.

After a few days of getting my head buffeted by the wind, I started getting head aches and neck pain.

While I love the look, it's a no-brainier for me going back to stock.

I've read lots of good reviews about ZeroGravity screens, but I guess I'm the minority that didn't have a good experience; it appears I'm taller than the average rider.

I'm going to list my screen on eBay and start shopping for another one.......any recommendations from taller riders who have fitted an aftermarket screen?

Cheers

hi i would go for the light smoke , as i dont think you can see through the dark screen , and if will help if you do get your head down below the screen , also put your other screen up on here for sale , sure some one will take it ,

Hi Craig,

I hardly tuck down and even when I do, I can't go so low cos of my tummy

The ZG screen I fitted previously was also a light tint and I thought it looked good.
I was thinking of trying another colour, but I'm not sure if the bright colours would look good on a black bike.

Cheers.

I've got a fabbri double bubble on mine and tbh that still hits me in the face but at speed a prefer to duck down behind it anyway which works brilliantly. If you struggle to get down behind it though, it may still not be great for you. Depends on height and riding style I guess

Despite this thread not being the best advert I might be interested in buying as a fair amount of wind hits the top of my massive helmet (massive head) even when completely tucked in behind a stock screen.

Could I just ask how tall you are?

I found the standard screen on my bike did a great job of pushing the rain and wind into my chest.
So I got a cheap double bubble from flea bay and then got onto bob heath visors and bought one of their screen extenders.
You have to drill the screen but as the screen I had bought was cheap it wasnt a prob. Once fitted it means I can tuck in a bit when its raining or if on a motorway and makes riding much better.

The new Fabbri DB screen was delivered and fitted three nights ago.

My commute to work on Thursady didn't give me a good feel because it was a very windy and boisterous day so was getting lots of side wind down the M1.

I was out in a 70 mile run today and really got a feel of the screen. I could feel the wind hit my shoulder and a little on my head.......not like the stock (chest) or the ZeroGravity (head).

I'm happy with this and if I ever have to change it, then it would be a proper Flip-up type screen.

Here's how the bike looks now:
