If she'd done that to a lot of people I know the next thing she'd have known about would have been a shackle lock to the teeth and fully deserved.

If I was him I'd report it to the rozzers.

That is unbelievable. Those are the kind of situations I hope I don't find myself in!

Dangerous, I would report her for that as she could have had him off. Some people need to be banned from EVER driving. Bet she didn't see the harm in it either!

did he ever report the driver?

He should have reported her using the footage as evidence, rather than put it on youtube for folks to just say 'what a stupid....' The police may not have been able to use that to prosecute as I don't know what the law is on personal video like that but they could have paid her a visit, given her a warning and one of those vehicle ASBO things (section 65?) at the very least.

I think she is a new driver, surely no experienced person with a brain would attempt that.

She needs putting in a burger stupid mare.

It's interesting to see the current rise in helmet cams and stuff, can only be a good thing for road safety.

However it would be good to hear from some of the resident plod to see if there is any point in it. Can they prosecute from it? Can they prosecute from it if it's already been on youtube?

I suppose if it had gone the other way the footage may have been of some value once they had pried the SD card out of the oncoming trucks radiator.

I think she is a new driver, surely no experienced person with a brain would attempt that.

I dunno mate, inexperience is absolutely no defence for being aggressive to the point of being completely homicidal.

Inexperience may be a very slight defence for somebody being a bit doddery but not this sh*t. I may also suggest a new driver may be less likely to have control (well, or not) of a brand new motor.

That's a due care, not a dangerous. Dangerous driving has to show an ongoing standard of driving far below the required standard.

As for prosecutions from video, yes, it can and does happen.

That is horrific. If I didn't put my foot through her door panel there and then I would be surprised.

Another own goal.

That's an intensely stupid manoeuvre.

Sadly I suspect she sees nothing wrong with it at all.

Probably saw the gap and thought "yeah I can fit through there". I think you have to ride like everyone is out to kill you and be very aware of what is going on.

life saver. and mirror all the time.
if you check the video as they go past she looks to be blowin her nose ....
Remember some car drivers do get the ach because bikes make progress .

I do think the rider is very far over for general riding and they have left that gap which while us no excuse, has obviously tempted her. I'd still have given her a trip to a bodyshop for her troubles mind.

Bluepete, those videos are footage whereby the riders are incriminating themselves - so just wondering could the video in the OP be used to prosecute/warn etc the driver of the car?

its clean cut in the other videos. They are on motor cycles so easy to get a conviction as motor cyclists are the sporn of Satan .

'Ness, yes. I'm in the process of potting an HGV driver based on the video evidence provided by a motorist.

Would the footage being published somewhere weaken a case like that? If it wasn't you incriminating yourself anyway.

Bluepete

Why would it Chris? It stands alone for viewing by the magistrates to make a decision upon. The fact that 3076 people saw it before hand is irrelevant.

A friend of a friend who was once a biker, was in his Scooby and had an encounter with a guy on one of those feet first cycles, the cyclist had a camera on his cycle hat and passed it to the police who had words with him, any more than that I don't know. It's on youtube somewhere.
