SV fairing material?

The fairings for a 2nd gen SV...are they made out of ABS plastic? (I've no idea what I'm talking about btw...so if ABS plastic sounds made up, it is.)

I am fairly sure that it is, but a post on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylonitrile_butadiene_styrene) claims that ABS is damaged by sunlight and that this caused a huge recall of vehicle parts because of this.

I imagine that if ABS is used it is UV protected now to prevent such damage. I also seem to recall that during a plastic repair session with the soldering iron, one of the panels was stamped with a recycling mark and had ABS next to it.
