Hi

The bolt that holds the radiator onto the bike ( 2000 sv 650s ) snapped off.:( The pic below illustrates which bolt it actually is.

1. Is it safe to ride the bike with this bolt not on? ( the 2 top radiator bolts are on as well as the grommits that hold the rad onto the fairings )

2. Whats the easiest way of getting out the bit thats still in?

Thanks

I just drilled mine out. Center punch then drill using small bit first then go back in with slightly bigger bit and if you do it right you should get away with not damaging the threads, or you can go in ham fisted like i did and use too big a drill bit and damage/lose the threads and just put a nut and bolt in there instead ;) HTH

Oops!
Yeah rides fine with bottom rad bolt not secured.

Drill it out. It will wind out the other side when the drill nips into it :)

If you c*ck it up just swap the covers around and drill and tap the lug on the "rear" cover to suit.
