Hi and welcome, great bike, enjoy (but not too much, the new driver act is not a nice thing!)

If you fancy a meet up keep a look out for a thread, it's getting closer to the time of year for the March meat run. More will be revealed later but we end up doing a ride out meeting at Red Lodge and hitting some nice roads before stopping in a remote pub for a meat raffle...

Haha sounds like a laugh, i'm only 4 miles from Red Lodge so i'll be up for that ! May I ask.. Why meat? lol

Random thing I think, I am too new to the site to have experienced the first meat raffle, I think it was discovered per chance and is now a yearly fixture...it don't cost anything, just a coffee or 2 in the pub

If you look in some of the older threads in this section you may find previous march meat run threads...the route is normally very good
edit: here you go, this is the normal route: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=167725

Hello, you're ideally placed for a lot of the ride outs

If we do any that is!

We need the sun gods to do a bit of overtime this year

Hi Pat if you're eager to get some miles under your belt, I'm usually up for a ride anytime, I'm less weather phobic than most and only 15 miles from Red Lodge if you fancy a rideout to anywhere just post a date and start time and if I'm not working I'm there! When the evenings get a bit lighter post work midweek bimbles to the coast are a must!;)

Haha  . Basketball is my game !

Just spent the evening fitting my throttle stop to my sv.. Can I just say what a pain in the ass that was.. I wish I waited for a ECU to come up now lol .. I had to

-Take seats off
-Prop tank up
-Take airbox off with all connecting hoses, wires
-Unscrew and unhook/ lift throttle body
-Fiddle for about half an hour to get this little stupid screw out and put the stop in then put it all back together again..

It started fine again, smelt a bit rich but may have had excess fuel in it after i had been pulling on the throttle for a good few minutes.
I feel like I am a super experienced mechanic now after that now though haha

Well how about we cut 4 inches off your legs and give them to me, the i can get both nearly on the ground, rather than tip toes of one leg? admittedly the sv is lowered but the honda is .. interesting at lights.

I'm off work 'til March 4th, but the Ace is in bits in the garage! Will keep an eye on here and will be up for a ride as soon as she's back together!
