As above, has anyone got or had a gsx1250fa?
Considering changing from sv to gsx1250 this year, was just looking to see if there are any pro's or con's?
Anything to look for when buying?
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
A sertch on the Bandit forums probably give you a clue .
Its always had good reviews in that form.

I bought the GT (one before the FA) a couple of years ago (till some thieving scrotes picked it up and took it away in a van).
Comfortable, reasonably fuel wise for a big bike, pulls from 30 in top to ummmm (on a private test track of course) to about 147 on the clock when i bottled it (still pulling).
Pro's - handles ok, rides ok, stops ok (ABS), runs smooth as silk.
Cons - destroys rear tyres if you are heavy handed (1200 miles from OE rear), bit of a fatty thru traffic in town.
Overall it will commute/go out for a blast at the weekend ok but well i bought a speed triple instead after.

I have the 650 version, so cannot comment on the power unit, but they are all day comfy and smooth as silk. You may get some sarcastic comments from the Bandit forums as they don't class the F as one of their own, despite it being the same bike with a better fairing!
I like the relaxed riding position, reasonable weather protection, lack of vibration and mid-range touring ability. The only downside is the weight but it adds to the stability and you get used to it. If I had the extra dosh when I was looking to buy I would have gone for the 1250 as it is such good value for money.
