Getting my new kayak set up sorted for spearfshing, still to load/fit the reel to the rod and arrange final anchor attachment. The paddle holder looks great for holding the speargun (I need to set up a leash to it too).

Will it scare the fish away? :o

The sea, this should make it easier to get between spots, and give a return option when drifting!!

I have been spear fishing from the age of 12....sea obviously :)

Unless you are going for big fish I would change the tip of the spear mate. Anything smaller than a 2kg fish will just be in bits if you catch it!! Good for target practice though

Only done basic kayaking in slow running rivers years ago as a kid but loved it.
Your set up looks ace, have fun :nemo:

600+, the locals seem to use the same spear, seems fine for small fish such as mackerel and up, but thanks for the advice, it's got a a yellow cover on in the photo to stop me spiking myself!

And got this fatty on the rod from my latest kayak:

Sea fishing is good fun, from the kayak or spearing :)
