I'm visiting UCH near Euston in a while and need to stop the night before in a hotel. With a car. And get out again at around 4pm on the Thursday before Easter to go up north home. I could do with a bit of advice...
Would I be best off stopping somewhere further out, parkign the car for the day, getting the train back and forth from the car, and thus making it easier to get out again later on? It's not like driving round London is quick or easy, and finding a hotel where I can park up isn't easy either. I'l have the car with me whether I like it or not, I don't need it at UCH that day though.
Before I waste a load of time trying to figure it all out, anyone got some top tips please?
Thanks!

This might be an odd way but when I'm driving down for a concert I usually hop off the M1 and park at Brent cross tube station (really cheap for day parking) or nearby carparks, I've not done overnight there yet but that has worked out the simplest method for my day trips. Someone else might have a better idea though.

imperial hotel in russell square is where we always stay for work - pretty basic but it's clean and there's underground carparking which is about £16-£18 for 24 hours last time I parked there (few years ago). Think a single room is about £80-£85 which isn't too bad considering the location, includes breakfast* as well...
* = the food quality is pretty low, pretty sure their sausages contain bit of old coat hanger or horses hooves. 10 minute walk from euston.

What's your budget for the hotel? Check rates for the Danubius Regents Park. It is 4* and about £128 normally, which isn't bad for central London, without breakfast but there are good cafes right outside. It's close to Euston but outside of the congestion zone. You can walk to Baker Street then jump on a bus or Tube to Euston very easily. They quote £25+ for 24 hour parking, but there is a great big cricket ground over the road with a car park, so might be able to help you out there with free parking. :)

Sorry have been fannying around. Budget is max £90 according to company rools. Unless I'm really stuck then I'll save that potential favour for a time when I'm not on business LPH! Thanks for the help guys/guyettes. Smoke me a kipper etc.
