Right, could use a little help from you guys here.

basicly conducting a bit of research for a coursework at uni on the R&D activities of sports companies. as part of this we have to carry out a SWOT analysis for the area we have chosen. I have already had a go at this but i'm sure there is plenty you guys know that i don't, and it would be interesting to get an idea.
SWOT stands for STRENGTH's WEAKNESSES OPPORTUNITIES THREATS

so heres where you all come in :)

I have done what I can but seeing as I dont own any alpinestars gear myself was hoping people on here would have an opinion. so if you could post a few of your perceived SWOT with particular focus on their LEATHERS and BOOTS i would greatly appreciate it.

here's an example
Strengths-
Tech Air airbag system on leathers
Weaknesses-
cost of replacement of airbag system
premium price
Opportunities
integration of new technologies e.g D3o (i know this is not a new technology but you get the idea hopefully)
Threats
Competitors eg furygan with D3o armour inserts

and don't worry about me cheating because we were encouraged to seek the input of others to enhance our own views :smt083

Groan! I remember having to do Swot analysis when I worked for tesco. Totally pointless use of a persons time. Who actually reads the things?
Middle management job justifying ******** if you ask me. Well in every case it was for me.

Good luck though.

I know what you mean. Some middle management flunky who has been sent on a course so knows all about something and tries to applies an R&D technique to retail.
