There was a thread here late one night, months ago asking for people who had owned an SV since New, or several SVs to PM the author, as they required info for an article.

Thought as I'd owned two for so long, and Suzy being the exes bike from New, then mine, it covered the request.

Cool. Good to see you got the Bambi killing in there.

I can't believe they stuck that in  :smt053
There's one or two slightly skew whiff details in there though. My bike has 25k on it, not 52!

Non the less, a bit of fun, and I made sure it advocated the folk on here in the right way......I think :-k

I should also point out Rictus was the photographer too ;)

I think they are right with the SV being a future classic especially the Curvy.

One of the over riding conditions that make a bike a classic later on is the "first bike bike" situation plus character has a big input too.

Not planning on selling mine anytime er at all....

It already is in some respects.

My insurer has it under a classic bike policy as its over 10 yrs old. As is the VRap.
Both are iconic in their own right.

A typo probably, unless they wanted to paint the inspiring picture of a mom of two with many miles under the belt...

Typo. The fella knows I've several bikes to spread the mileage. ;)

Mind you, you have a point with that, it does come through quite strongly in the article. FAMILY person......not big bad bearded dirty biker!

Can you not post a pic up of the article so we can have a gander, there's no way I'm getting close to a shop over the next few days...stupid snow.

I'll try fathom one out. I'm pretty much phone only these days, and uploading to here is a pain in the butt!

Plus its a three page slot.

The SV is a classic now? I shall have to pick it up, but means a trip somewhere. They only sell magazines about tractors up here.....

:DLike the comment, " Mum of two with many miles under her belt"
Things tend to slacken off when they have a bit of mileage on them

I'LL DUCK NOW XXX

I don't need a belt to hold my mileage up ;)

Mechanics my *rse. They could at least get their facts right that the suspension on the later ones is equally as sh*t as the curvy...
Oh and the exhausts NEVER rot out and the clutches can last ages. Mine is on the original after 105k. Not my problem if other owners have slow control like a 3 day old DAS graduate ;)

F*cks sake. I think I'll write them a letter telling them why I'm glad I read the magazine on the internet rather than buying it...

Could be worse, I emailed a mag a couple of months back for saying in an article about the Cagiva Raptor.

: The tanks rust and rot from the inside out.....

It's bloody plastic :smt043

Think sometimes they look at previous articles for information and regurgitate what's been said before

ABS as standard? Could have fooled me, pretty sure its still an option, even on the Gladius. In fact, the SV650 ABS isn't even listed on the Suzuki GB site.
