Stratstone? I phoned them about a white Triumph Explorer, they seemed pretty good. I think they got a new dealer principle in last year who apparently is keen to build a good reputation.

Yeah stratstone cheers matt - phoned the other day about a bike and the guy was pretty quick with the pressure sales "well there's been a lot of interest in the bike so I'd advise to put a deposit down to avoid disappointment" etc... Instantly turned off with that.

Yeah I emailed them through their website to request a part-ex valuation and they never got back to me, so phoned, then instantly got pressure sales. Told them thanks and I'd get back to them.... we'll see :)

Other side of the coin being "If you are that desperate to sell me a bike give me a good trade-in price for mine and a few extras tossed in for good luck"
Turn the pressure sales pitch to your advantage and see where you go from there, after all you can walk away and it hasn't cost you anything but they have lost a potential sale.

well the guy did tell me that "what we do is, you can go away and try to see if you can get any more for your own bike through a private sale, and say if in a few weeks you haven't sold it, you can come back to us and we will still offer you £1300 for yours..."

I did slip in "that is great news". I'm not in a rush at the minute, the good weather comes later :) good idea though Dicky :)
