View Full Version : Saturday 30th Rideout from Fleet
I need to see if the bike still works. Anyone up for a gentle bimble Saturday morning?
Meet - Oatsheaf Pub Fleet <Link> (http://goo.gl/maps/Nm7D4)
Time 10:00 Saturday
Route - Buggered if I know. Will make something up
Pace - Mostly bimbly as I've not been out for a while
Duration - As long as it takes. Will not be an all-dayer but may include lunch
I suspect Tomor's working, Job's Bobbing and Spank will be recovering from a hang-over but what about the rest of you?

Possibly. Need to see if the gixxer still runs. With all the riding I'm doing these days I'd rather go to the more well attended rideouts, rather than 2 or 3 going for a bimble, so I will confirm based on whoever else is available (I suspect not many).
I suspect this will be a low-show but it's not forecast to rain or snow and I feel the need to go see if my mojo is recoverable.
I'm away in afraid, not working but off with the family.

And your liver and your slow descent into an early grave!
I've got to go and buy the mrs some crap for Easter and then I'm gonna take the gixxer for a quick spin.
Hope you guys are out on the bikes, glorious weather!

I went for a blatt on the Gixxer. Many a giggle had! Rumours I wouldn't ride it now I have the Tiger are now dispelled. I was grinning all the way! :D

Hmmm sounds familiar.
Just back from a tanks worth of riding including a quick visit to Bulldog. Nice blue sprint ST on the forecourt. Little bit of snow in whitchurch but otherwise just cold.

So how are you feeling about the bike now? Winter blues shaken off yet?
Didn't take long to get into the swing of things but I was on unfamiliar roads so nothing was pushed too much. Did make the mistake of parking my bike next to shiny bikes on a forecourt and it did look a bit tired. Just need to work out if the £3-4k cost of change is worth considering or just live with the characterful nature of my bike.
Must say though that when I got back I didn't get that summer urge to turn round and go straight back out again.
Go down to 3 legged cross, a good few variants of bike dealerships down that way. It's where i'll be heading in 9 months or so :D

Same Mark. I was coooooold when I got home. Had an awesome ride but I missed my screen and heated grips.
So how did this steady pace newbie bimble go and when is the next one?
I'm off Friday and Monday if that good for anyone?
Was just me in the end but got some miles in and blew away several cobwebs from myself and the bike. The second half was certainly a bit less bimbly than the first.
