Alrite lads/lasses

Looking at getting some new tyres in the next week or so but im abit stuck on what to get :???:.

i have three to choose from:

conti sport attacks

pirelli diablo corsa's

michelin pilot powers

I have had the pirelli's twice before and they are brilliant in my mind but i would like to try somthing diffrent and the conti's are taking my fancey over anything else.

Anyone tried the conti sport attacks before ?

Regards Bill

1st question i would ask is, what do you want from tyres? do you need good miles from a set, or does it not fuss you? Do you need tyres that are good in all weathers?

Mileage dosent play a massive part in my riding anymore as i dont do as many miles as i have done the last couple of years, but i will still need good for all weather.

Have you considered Pilot Road 2's as an option?

What about Metzeler Z8's

I've got z6's and they're great in all weather conditions, good grip (kneedown on track) and last well

The z8's are meant to just as good, if not better

If your not doing miles of upright ridding then dual compounds not important as the edges wear b 4 the middle

No, I'd read on here that they were pretty good.

If Conti motorbike tyres are as good as their cycle tyres, then I'd say they are plenty good enough

I have Conti road attack on the RSV .
They are not as sticky as the sport .
But as I only bimble about on it they are good enough.
Much better than the Corsa 3 I had previously for cold and wet roads.

Main reason I went with Conti is there car tyres .
There winter tyres are very good.
Normal road tyres back on my juke now its spring (Conti as well).

i had the conti road attack 2's and the rear lasted less than 4000 miles and the front less than 5000 good in the dry not so much in the wet, poor drop off on the rear as it squared off very fast, i'd assume that the more sport based tyre would be even worse, but every one is different and you might love them

I have gone for the sport attacks as a couple of mates i have spoke to have used them previously on there fireblades and they both said there fantastic in the dry and wet. I also got them at stupidly low price :)

Cheers guys will let you know what i think of them

hi mate sorry for the late reply, I have done about a 1000 to 1500 miles on them wet and dry and really being totally honest... They are the best tyres i have ever had. I have never had so much confidence in a set of tyres apart from track tyres well worth buying and there cheap aswell

Got attack 2s on my FJR & they are a great tyre, not the longest lasting tyre in the world but stick to the road like glue wet or dry this time round have fitted the GT to the rear which are reported to last longer, on the 2s I got just over 5000ml from the rear the GT so far has done a 3000ml tour to Austria, Italy & is still holding up really well. So if it lasts that long on a FJR it should last well on a SV
