Yep tthat's right flocks, I am now the proud proud owner is a 2005 Suzuki SV650 with only 2600 miles on her pretty little clock. Big thanks to all the guys who welcomed me and suggested buys in the area, but hats off to Ticklin Jock for finding my match made in heaven. Thanks Man!

Previous owner bought it, rode it for a year, had a seizure lost his licence, got it back a year later, rode it for another year then sadly same again so its never clock a lot of miles due to the guys health, but its stunnin nick, ill get picks up when I get a chance.

Cheers Tommo.
Happy days - Test Passed and bike bought.
Might want to check the tyre pressures if its been laying for a while.
Now we need a good dollup of rain to wash the slimy, salty roads clean.
And... of course, the temperature to pick up.

Congratulations on the new bike. Bit of a shame about the back story. You need to get some mileage on it.

See you at the GM in a couple of months.

Job's a guid one! and welcome. :takeabow:

Never mind tyre pressures - check condition - 8 years old and probably sat around a cold garage! If they are original Dunlops might be worth chucking a new set of tyres on - if you have any pennies left?

Go look at tyre threads on the opinions of the original Dunlops.:(

Shame for the previous owner and I feel for him / her but what a buy for you.

+1 on that.

I got a 12 yr old bike last October with just over 2K on the clock and a story behind it.
I've put about 5K since then and the bike feels great.

I changed the stock Metzeler tyres after putting over 3K miles on them for BT021 and the handling felt much better (and my confidence too).

Enjoy your new ride!!

Get a fuel exhaust, great price and I always get comments on the noise my bike makes, my neighbours actually like it!
You'll put tunnels into your commute even if it doubles the distance of your trip!

Then I made it noiser!

Then at 36mph it does this!

About 4 inches, it's loud at full size, I just wanted mine louder as I used to commute into town and wanted to make sure I was heard!

Bikes looking good there.

Get the modding underway. Its screaming out for a tail tidy :D

A tinted Double Bubble screen, Fender extender and rear seat cowl with infill should be on your shopping list too.

Have fun and thanks for sharing.
