I usually read 1 book a month depending on free time etc. These books build up into a small pile then i re-read one or two and give them away to people and buy some more.

Rather than give them away or bin them i thought we could have a "swap shop" type set up. I post you mine, you post me yours. Just have your name and address in the front cover and when i have read it i'll post it back.

If you are interested then here are some of my recently read books, just google the titles and if you want to read it let me know what you have to swap.

Uneasy Rider - Mike carter - Motorcycle touring
Triumph around the world - Robbie Marshall - Motorcycle touring
Cycling home from siberia - Rob Lilwall - Bicycle touring
Mud, Sweat and Gears - Ellie Bennett - Bicycle touring (end to end)

The Accidental adventurer - Ben Fogle - Biography/adventure
Into the wild - Jon Krakauer - Adventure
Touching the Void - Joe Simpson - Mountaineering/climbing

Sniper one -Sgt Dan Mills - Military/Iraq
The one that got away - Chris Ryan - Military/Iraq
Legionnaire - Simon Murray - Militry/Foreign Legion
The Operators - James Rennie - Military/Northern Ireland
Fishers of Men - Rob Lewis - Military/Northern Ireland
The map of Africa - Eddy Nugent - Military/Comedy

The Afghan - Frederick Forsyth - Military/Afghanistan/FICTION

That's 1 small pile i have in the spare room.
I'm looking for more motorcycle touring books at the minute.

Thanks

what about charity shops? (i don't put this forward as put down to your idea, i think it's a cracking one to be honest!) you usually have a pretty good selection in charity shops, they're very cheap ie. about 1-5 pounds and you get some cracking titles in them, quite often not that old either. and then when you're done with it you can throw it away/recycle it or you can donate it back to the charity shop (or a different one) and while you're there buy another one or two books for next to nothing!
