The tank is already starting to get a bit dulled where my knee and 'slim' belly touch it. . A bit surprised really cos the SV tank never showed up this.

Anyways. Got some tank grip (Eazi-Grip) and cut out some sections. Not bad stuff I reckon.

I have the carbon fibre tank[belly zip] one on mine but for the sides I used clear plastic film that you use on a car. Really surprised that it was showing wear already though.
Its good for the side/back fairings as it stops the rub marks of your thigh or bungees and you can't see it when it is on.

Dicky where do you get the clear plastic stuff? I need some for where my pillion is rubbing the paint off :)

Any good car accessory shop should stock it

Yeah so was I. The trouble with 'clear' is that it is already dulled/marked and won't polish up.

Try searching for 'helitape', it's what we used to cover our mountain bikes when I used to race them.
The 3m one if really thick and protective
