Just bought a mini camera to film my rideouts. Its an MD80 camera I purchased of ebay nothing expensive but prob I have is ive tried several places on.my coat and bag and keep just filming my handlebars lol. Has anyone else purchased one of these and found a way of mounting it on the pointy Sv650 ;-)

I mount it inside my helmet as it's not water resistant

Inside?? Does that not affect your vision?

It is if you stick it in one of these cases

Got my case off ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=md80+waterproof+housing&_sacat=0&_from=R40) uk seller. Case has a camera mount screw hole at the bottom, but mine didnt fit my camera tripod mount as the 'hole' is m6 rather than a proper camera unc thread (if that makes sense)

Thanks for advise I have a caburg flip lid so i cant tuck anything down the side as i have a secondry tinted visor where that bloke puts the bracket :-) has any one mounted one to the actual bike ????? Thanks so far though
I tried mounting my one on the indicator but the vibration messed up the video. You could try screwing it to the radiator then rotate the video when editing?

you want to wear it rather than mount it on the bike, else the video ends up all wibbly

True, the camera does come with a clip mount. I got mine off ebay for about £8

Damn I just found the indicator fixing point was gonna try it tomorrow :-( ive already tryed clipping it to pockets and bag straps and either film handlebars or sky
Because we have to lean forward it leaves the camera pointing downwards

velcro it to your lid
forget anything else.... Black Tack the bugger anywhere you like!
Black tack also dampens vibrations, i stuck my 808 cam on my fairing and tank today, no vibes whatsoever in the footage, was rather impressed! Tested at well into triple digit speeds, it didnt budge a mm.
about a fiver on ebay for 4m of the stuff, which is enough to hold your bike together, yet alone mount a cam!

Thats where i bought mine, was sent more than a metre, dunno why i had 4m in my head though! still, iv wasted half of mine, and still have enough left to last me ages.
Aup mate,
I have had a similar camera to this the same shape, if you ebay Veho muvi mounting kit, you can buy a kit that will mount it pretty much anywere for £12 ish.
I have this camera, the quality is ok, I have been clipping it to my jacket. Doesn't always get a good view. The battery life is terrible too. I only get about 20 min of my ride recorded. Can't complain too much for a fiver I guess.
Has anyone connected some of these small cameras to their bike battery? I would like to have one mounted more or less permanently, just in case I need to make a claim against some car driver.
