I was introduced to fly fishing for wild brown trout in Sutherland by my friend and drummer at the time. He's a wet fly kinda guy, but I prefered the romance of stalking with dries. A couple of years ago I started river fishing as it was more of a challenge. At present I fish the river Leven. The bike fairly cuts into the fishing time though. We are away to Forsinard in Sutherland this weekend, should be fun.

SS and i have hopefully just got myself an unmolested Pink Triangle PTTOO for which i have an Audiomods arm and a Denon DL301MK11 to go on it. phono/headphone stage is DIY RJM Audio running with BD DT770 pro's not the best of kit i know but it does me as i'm poor.. lol

i'm a bit nervous as to the deck as i have a kind of suspicion i'm going to get ripped off.. we shall see.

been fly fishing/tying since i was 8 (now 46) and cut my teeth on the rivers of the borders mainly the Gala Water, Tweed and the Water of Leith in Edinburgh then moved onto Rez fishing the Pentlands till moved over to Fife and started mostly fishing Raith and Ore. mostly stick to rez/loch boat fishing theses days. TBH i haven't been out for about 3 years due to getting back into biking.

Phew, 8 lochs and a burn in 2 days, good going. Numbers were good for this time in the season, could have done with a bit less sunshine today. The burn at our camp was stuffed with wee parr, so I got the 4wt ZXL out after supper and annoyed them with a size 16 parachute emerger till dark. Brilliant fun.
