hoping its due to never being cleaned out and only getting used for a 15 minute commute each way to work.

never gets a long journey and used all winter bar about 1 week.

Inferior pointy side covers...

Happens a lot with short trips. Get it proper pinging hot every now and again :)

inferior is right, had to drain the coolant to remove the cover, easier job on the curvy, smaller cover and no draining of the coolant.
