Ok so this was on MSN today. After looking on yourtube it was uploaded over a year ago so many of you may have already seen it. Oh well.

I am always slightly amazed how long it takes people to give the guy some actual first aid.

Bit suspicious, they drag bloke out then just leave him, while fire is burning right next to him.

if you watch the 15 minute one the ambulance crew turns up and sorts him out, apparently he is on the mend.

Fook! Pretty incredible to have such relatively minor injuries after going under a car like that. Doubt I'd have been so lucky - my head circumference is probably greater than the ground clearance on a Land Rover, so something would have to give.

Poor Land Rover.

Yeah, I can't believe how long it takes to give him first aid. There are two police officers there, surely the MUST be trained in first aid. No-one even checks his pulse.

At what position in the sky was the sun on that day? How often did the birds tweet? Was there a satellite in orbit at the time of impact? How big exactly to the mm was the leaf on the tree that wasn't in that footage?

23 degrees above the horizon, 7.9 tweets per minute, yes 5, 168mm squared. HTH :)

LOL 'tweets per minute' - think you've coined something there!

Going back to the subject, was slightly bizarre/comical the way they heroically lifted the car and dragged him out but then just left him there spreadeagled like a flame-grilled starfish, with the inferno raging just a few feet away.

As they'd (perfectly justifiably) risked worsening any spinal injury by dragging him from under the car, you'd think they would have just carried on a wee bit futher to take him out the danger zone.
