I have just had a message that I am entitled to an upgrade.
My current package 500 mins, 750 texts, unlimited data. = £25
my actual usage is 100mins, 20 texts and about 10 - 30GB
So what do I go far. Must be android and not cost any more than my current 25 quid.
Data use is extremely important to me.
A quick look seems to indicate I might as well stick with what I have until usable 4G becomes a reality
If using that amoun of data stay away from ee, think the most they do is 8gb a moth at something like £60!
3 is pretty good for data, if you don't mind paying for the phone separately they do some good sim only plans that would prob be within your £25 budget.
When my contract ended I stuck with t mobile at 600 mins unlimited web and a lot texts for 22quid .

Depends if you will be needing a new phone or not? Sim only at giff gaff is £12/month for 250 mins and unlimited texts and data. Probably get similar deals elsewhere aswell no doubt.

Talk Mobile (uses Vidafone network I believe)
100 mins, 100 texts, 100mb, 1 month contract = £5.11 sim only

Interesting, I started looking at this and got caught by moans about waiting days/weeks for support and activation. Is that genuinely the case?

Not too sure but my girlfriend has just taken this same deal. I believe that giff gaff are in some way tied in with O2 though if that helps.

How the hell do you use 10 gig a month Tim?

Easy to use that amount. My work internet requires authenticated connection though a windows specific client. Not available on my tablet so I have to tether that through my phone whilst at work.
Get a giff gaff sim, then if you fancy a new phone buy the Nexus 4. Will work out about £25 a month over 2 years.

Or get the Galaxy S3 free from Carphone Warehouse, 500mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data for £24/month. That's on 3 though.

Misread the G for an M - sorry old fruit.
Can you not get that data traffic through home broadband for a cheaper price/ more reliable way than via cellular? That way you can get a cheaper mobile tariff for the odd MB when out and about??

When home, I do indeed use the home broadband. My problem is at work or other sites. I know it sounds daft, but the work wifi is locked down and I cannot get an authentication client for either Android or even 64bit windows. So whenever I need wifi connection I need to use the cellular.

Ii have two samsung galaxy ace 2 with virgin mobile, unlimited calls texts and data. £28 a month for both.

Coverage good and no problems so far
VM always open to upgrading deals.
