2001 Blue curvy SV650

http://forums.sv650.org/album.php?u=16991

18,900 miles
GSXR 750 front end, w / six pot calipers
fresh braided lines, TL1000S front fender
adjustable Kawasaki BH1 rear shock

Full bs stamped Micron stainless exhaust system with alloy silencer
Renthal alloy sprocket
Tasteful rear hugger
Speedo mod / replacement sensor

Got this sv as std about a year ago, replaced the
commuter suspension with decent kit, now rides
like a proper sportsbike.

With the Micron system , running on stock jetting seems to be running slightly lean for my liking but fine when fully warmed up.
Ran it with K&N filter and definately too lean. Will include the K&N and the stock exhaust system. Ideally wants to go on a dyno for best setup with filter and pipe.

Body work is all very good condition, slight damage to paint on rhs of tank hard to see. There is a crack in one of the front fork lower axle mounts.
I have a spare gsxr fork leg which i will include in the asking price. haven't got round to fitting yet as fork seals still seemed good.
The top yoke has been drilled to accept handle bar risers,
I went back to gsxr clip ons and found it better ergomomically.

I think its got a fair bit of tax left, but i've lost the tax disc.
will put a fresh mot on her if buyer pays the asking price.

have put a fair bit of work finding and fitting suspension and other parts ,
setting up so she is riding nicely, but other commitments mean she has to go.

Excellent fun and a huge improvement on a stock sv, you would not believe the difference.

Looking for £1700. located in Berkshire.

If no interest I will strip down and part out the front end and other bits
on this board and sell the bike as stock.

I'm sure you will have no problem selling as is, but if you do put her back to standard I would be very interested in the exhaust system. Apologies if you feel I'm jumping the gun ;)

Thats Ok, you can have first dibs on the micron system ;)
I tried various aftermarket cans on the stock headers, and never really got the
sound & performance I was looking for. The micron system
was better by a long chalk, good power delivery and throbbing
(but acceptable for the road) exhaust note. recommend.

Thanks :)

That's pretty much the position i'm in at the moment. Had a Viper end can when I bought the bike, wasn't loud enough. Now got a Delkevic, plenty loud enough but poor fit. Next step is a full system - it's just a shame hardly anyone makes them for the first gen SV anymore
