Hi all, i'm off to look at a k6 sv650s tomorrow which I am overly excited about having passed my test a few months ago....
Is there anything in particular I need to look out for when buying an sv?
Thanks

Modified or non-standard parts. I think every SV in the whole world has a noisy aftermarket exhaust, so make sure you're happy with what's fitted. I don't know if there are any particular weaknesses to check, just the normal bike stuff. Condition of the chain gives an indication of how well it's been looked after, check for suitable tyres.
Good luck, mine's a K6 ..

Look for gravel rash on the side of the fairing will show if it's been dropped, although most have at some point :) . If it has, then check that the rear brake pedal and gear lever is straight

look at the lower yoke. One way to tell conditions bikes been kept in. sv650's rust there quickly. Unless owner has covered it in oil or WD40 they are hard to keep rust free. Otherwise any general checks you do when looking at bike. Any signs of dropps etc
