Amazing pics SP1, I don't know why but I always get a lump in my throat when I see all those graves lined up, the thought of the sacrifice people made.

I would love to go somewhere like this, all this history I find really interesting.

Actually we were expecting crap weather, had a tiny bit of drizzle on the Friday afternoon then brightened up, we'd planned to visit the local flanders stuff on Saturday but guy in office on the site said Saturday best day so did our long route we'd planned for Sunday on the Saturday instead, this was down to the Somme around Arras.

Luckily, the Sunday was dry too when we did the local stuff, on the ferry on the way back we bumped into a couple one of my mates knows really well, they said they'd been down by the Somme on the Sunday and it had been pee'ing it down, so how lucky was that ? :)
