Hey guys

As you mmay have seen from some of my other posts ive been fighting with a broken spark plug. Whilst the head been machined ive left the bike stripped down.

The fuel tank is in my shed on blocks of wood and it seems to be letting fuel out. The manual gives the impression that the fuel pump seals off the tank.

It is not like the fuel is gushing out there is just a slight damp spot under the tank. The other reason why I ask, my brother keeps commenting that the bike smells of fuel, which I have dismissed as either the bike being under cover and getting hot or alternatively I keep splashing a bit of fuel.

what do you guys think??

What part of the tank is directly above the evidence of leakage?

Its coming from the part closet the seat, where the fuel pump is.

i would give the tank a very good wipe with a dry cloth , and see if you can see any damp marks after that , if not maybe put some paper under the tank , and that will let you see where if there is any fuel leaking on to the paper , then take it from there , there isnt much you can do untill you find where the fuel is comeing from ,
