View Full Version : Symptoms of an overinflated tyre?
Following on from this:

I felt that the lower pressures made the rear fishtail slightly in the corners.
I've noticed it as well when I've picked up a slow puncture.
I'm wondering what the symptoms are when you over inflate a tyre?
Don't fancy being a guinea pig really, before you suggest it ;)

It goes bang! :smt040
If you go +2 psi over stock its not going to be a complete disaster.
Feels harsher, faster turning.
I've run about 50PSI in a front tyre for about a mile or two. Don't recommend it in terms of feel, but it wasn't going to go pop or anything. (A garage forecourt had a faulty gauge, but this didn't become apparent until I'd put in a fair bit of air and the dial hadn't moved. Unfortunately the first reading it gave was entirely believable, so I had to ride to the next garage to adjust the pressures).
