Break it or Stare at it?

oh mighty org, I have a dilemma facing me.

The Big end on my mostly stock curvy SV has gone sadly despite my hoping to god that it haddnt.

Now I could attempt to save the money and get a new engine that has done around 70k and hope it all works ok. (via fleabay.. hmmm)
However knowing my spare funds this will most likely take months for me to get enough spare moola to purchase an engine that may/may not work.

OR

I could break it and sell everything off then take what's left (probably not much) to be weighed in - whever that may be in my area.

I think that by breaking it I can get enough to purchase a new bike and I'll find out all the little bits that make people go ?$!#% :smt072 :smt019

So what do you suggest?
Break it and sell everything that's good or hope that my numbers come up in the lotto and I can replace the engine with a working one.

breaking a bike always seems appealing from the money side of things, but take considerable time and work stripping and cleaning, only really makes sense if you have the time,if you have the tools,if you have the space to store them, if you sell all the bits, in truth you'll probably end up with bits all over the place and of course be without a bike all summer.

Not much real help there, but it at least gives you a real world idea what you maybe getting into.

Getting an engine for it is all gery well but its the cost, unfortunately my finances dont stretch far enough to save a lot each month. It would take me nearly 60 months to save enough for an engine.
