Your not alone. I have the same issue! If I go out on my bike I feel I have to clean her when I come home. Kinda like that with the car as well but no where near as bad as I am with the bike.
Nothing wrong with taking pride in the things you love I reckon.
Your bike is looking good by the way. 😊
That is one clean bike......summer riding, watch out for the flies.

Ahh, cleaning. I only really do it when I want to clean the chain. Might as well kill two birds, and even then it's only a "maintenance clean". i.e. a half-arsed clean just to get most of the muck off. :)

Take a ride over to the Scotch piper in Lydiate on a Wednesday night (bike night). You could get to it easy over Parbold Hill, through Burscough and then the back roads past the Morris dancers pub towards Lydiate.
Bluepete may be able to chaperone you as I think he lives out that way. There's always tons of nice bikes and the local scout group do a bbq.

Me too, I'm off to the TT tomogs! Yep, every Wednesday night people gather there when the weather is good. The occasional orger pops in. Me and the missus go quite often as it's a good crack.

Great hubby back from tt tonight hes been there since monday really looking forward to the bag of smelly washing poooooooo lol
Youre probably doing your bike good. I didnt clean mine properly in 5 months and recently went for a mega clean, ended up with about 30 papertowls covered in thick slime and crap, i discovered dirt in places id never seen before.
I enjoyed it. But then i do have OCD

Post in the PM section and see if anyone want to play with you and stop moaning...;)
FWIW, getting lost is all part of the fun.

When I first got my bike, I cleaned her practically everyday (it was winter, so there was nothing else I could do), had to force myself to go cold turkey! :( Back on the cleaning now and feeling much better, less OCD more thorough maintaining... I think!
I clean mines every 6 months or so, whether it needs it or not...

I just want to say if you get a toothbrush out to get into the engine bay and into other nooks and crannies, then you really need to take a step back and evaluate your life goals.

I think the compulsive cleaning phase wears off after a while, although in winter it is probably a good thing. I got my SV in February and went through a bottle of FS365 in about two weeks
I still give the bike a wipe down with a rag and WD40 every couple of weeks, but haven't washed her for a while. Could probably do with a proper clean now. Problem is, if I start it will take me a whole day...

But thats when it really gets fun, the stuff you can find down there can be pure entertainment!!
