is there any decent chippys down Newton/Stranraer area or one you would recommend in D&G?
that'll be that then.. lol
Nothing in Stranaer worth visiting. The whole place is a dump.
Newton Stewart has one that is OK at the top near the square / bus terminus.
Great one on the front at Girvan - Graziano's. I think. Best in Scotland.
thinking of doing this on sunday: http://goo.gl/maps/f1acv
Chippy van on the harbour at Portpatrick !!!! Does a decent enoughr effort.
What day you going? Might be able to meet up?
Ha Ha - just reread post - It'll be sunday then !!!! Could meet you up at Thornhill and do D&G loop if you would put up with me?
could do been a while since i've seen your lovely mug.. lol
might just do this then: http://goo.gl/maps/wqR9Y
Thornhill to Newton and then upto girvan for Sausage supper (2 Sausages) - Life does not get any better LOL.
All you need to do is give me a ball park time for a meet in the centre of Thornhill and we're on Bud. No hurry, just let us know, approx time by Saturday night, so i can be there.
Got a pass for Sunday tonite and was just wondering where as was gonna go. Happy Days.
i'm off to balance some TB's on sunday about 10 so should take me about 1hr then head down to thornhill which will be about another 2-1/2hr so 1:30 ballpark. i'll give you a bell when i get to Moffat. might go and do the led loop to waist some time for supper.
the weather is supposed to be scorchio on sunday.
Sound like a plan, see you Sunday.
That road from Newton Stewart to Girvan is pretty awesome if I remember rightly. Usually stop off at the waterfall at Glentrool. Hmm might get out myself if its nice!

Its off the Newton Stewart to Girvan road (A714), off at Bargrennan and through Glentrool village there is a bit of parking and toilets by a biggish waterfall. Is access to lots of the forest park trails etc, years since I was there!
Yeah hopefully make it out if the missus is up for it, decide on a time yet? :)
LOL - hope Bib's dusnae mind this turning into mini monthly run
I think the time we are aiming for is 1:30 in Thornhill @ the wee happy potter shop, next to the bus stop. Thornhill is a one horse town so won't be hard to meet up.
I am not riding as TEC:nomore:. In fact if its Bib's ride I better go at the front so we don't get lost !!!!!
p.s. - nice to see you again Alan - no seen you in a while:rolleyes:
right guy's, between 1:30-2:00
here is the route: http://goo.gl/maps/qf7vE it's running anticlockwise over the led hills then again over to Girvan for a supper and if all goes well we should get there by 5:00. i'll be stopping for petrol in Dalmellington.
meet/end point is the happy potter cafe in Drumlanrig Street.
i usually stop about every 30 miles or so as i'm in no hurry.
nice of you to take point SIII will make a change for me.
Lance x
wish the weather man would make his blooody mind up :-(

Sadly I can't make it tomorrow cash won't stretch that far. Shame is I need to save some cash for the bsb next weekend. That and the fact I'm going on strike for four days doesn't help the fun money.
stuff the bsb. why watch people go round and round in circles on a closed road when you could be out riding. STRIKE... wtf
Okay chaps see you there around 1:30ish innit...
Will run round til we get to Girvan, where we will head off north to see me mum in Irvine!...
If AJC is gonna bail @ Girvan, can I suggest we run it to Newton Stewart then up to Girvan? That way he gets to do the better roads from Thornhill over to the west! An he can show us where the waterfall is !
Can get (usually) cheap fuel at Newton Stewart, bib's.
