Have a wee look at Pinetrees Tyndrum as a base, excellent facilities, reasonable prices offering [b]hiker cabins 3 or 4 berth, Lodges, camping, pub, cafe and Greenwelly on the doorstep, ideal for many routes.

Nope----you were a £26 cab ride down the road at St Fillans wigwams. All that I mentioned is within 500yds of the Greenwelly-South, completely different place.
I will add that it is far superior to St Fillans.

Google maps says even less than that Mac - 1000ft / 330 yds.

That'll be one more than most :-)
I've been involved every year bar GM3 when the rideout got lost.

Does flying past the junction and ending up in Inverness on the Recce not count? ;)

Don't be rediculous Dean, just because someone else wants to tell you what to do, that doesn't mean they actually want to do it!! ;-)
