I'm selling because I took a V Strom out at the weekend and loved it.
Test rides are welcome with cash in my hand and insurance.

**Edit** I can borrow a bike from a mate after next week, so if some one wants it sooner than July it can be arranged.

Nice little SV with all the extras to make it a "do everything" bike. Wish i could have bought mine with the flat bars already fitted rather than forking out hundreds of pounds for the kit but it was worth every penny. Is it a v-strom 650 you are going for?
Good luck with the sale.

It is the DL650, I loved it, don't think my budget will stretch to the 2012/2013 facelift that I rode, but I'd imagine the older models are still good.

If I hadn't found an upright already I would have had your arm off for that. Seem very rare so that's well worth the money.

I've set at at what I think is a fair price, people on ebay/autotrader seem to have inflated prices or I've under priced.
With a bit off effort it'll polish up nice.

I've spent a fair amount on it since getting it, with best part of £300 on the tyres

Any service history? Like when did it have a valve check?
Does it run right? No knocks/taps/ticking sounds?

No knocks, taps or ticks that I have noticed.

Duno about service history. I don't have the book, since I've had it, I've changed the oil twice, oil filter once. New pads all round, new brake fluid, new radiator(stone chipped last one) and coolant. New spark plugs when I checked the valve clearances a couple of hundred miles ago, using a guide from the internet and the service manual. They were in spec, written the values down at home.

Mileage history, according to the MOT, was about 2k per year, until I bought it, then its done around 6200 miles.

It runs fine, it is going in to see yorkie_chris (Bradford way) at the weekend for throttle body balancing and he's going to check the clutch linkages and adjustment. Can get him to give it a once over to give you an honest report on it if you like.

I'm popping into a couple of dealers on the way there too to get them to value it for a PX against a vstrom.

donkeybanana has expressed an interest in the bike, with clip ons, so if he takes it I'll be selling my diy conversion kit also the luggage rack and topbox.

Hey, I PM'ed you about the bike, but I have another thing, there is a Motorbike garage across the road from where I work and they have a DL650 V-Storm for sale and it looks really nice! You should check them out! :D Also, if you wanted, i'm interested in your bike so if you haven't already sold it then possibly I could pay you to deliver it while looking at this one?
