Does anyone have a good system of valuations for bikes?

Looking at one at present, 2 owner (last one for ten years) low proven miles, ALL history, inc past MOT's, handbook, service book and so on.

All seems initially good via phone conversation and has sent me 16 pics of the bike.

I did the same to my buyer, so my gut feeling is he has nothing to hide.

Seller has several bikes and seems to be an enthusiast, but "wants space", I suspect for a new toy.

He has no idea what he wanted price wise but saw my wanted ad and decided to make contact.

Bike is a Yamaha Virago 750 1999 (ok, not everyone taste I know but I have a bad back!!)

Have seen a huge gulf in prices so looking for guidance.

unfortunately the XV750 is too old to really have a guide price as such, so it'd come down to condition and mileage, the range could be from £500 for a tatty example, to £800-£1k for an example with T&T in fair condition, right up to £1800-£2k for a low mileage minter, you might want to look at the Kawazaki offering of the same vintage the VN750, much the same price range.
