On a rideout apparently my whole tailtidy / undertray completely fell apart and I lost everything, indies, plate, etc. I tried to bodge it back on but it's gonna end in tears lol.

I want to just get something on so I can stick a plate and indies on, I dont care if it's snow shovel, just something that works and will pass an MOT.

Having taken a look I cant work out which piece(s) I need or what I'd search for on ebay, if I search for undertray I see how many variations...

It looks like some of the original plastic has been chopped about a bit as well.

Attached some photos so you can see what I'm on about.

Just looks like the screw in the corner of the undertay has fallen out, unless the undertray has cracked and fallen off

Mine did the same, you can see the chimney nut on the left hand side, where the screw goes

same thing happened to mine, lost punture repair, waterproof trouser, and nearly had a bungee rapped around the back wheel.

i ended up using cable ties to the lower grab rail. worked a treat

I've missed you guys lol

It's hard to explain...in the photos you can see 2 pieces of plastic that I think may need replacing - but Im not sure what is standard, and isnt and what has been possibly chopped already.

Theres a black part which I think includes the battery holder, then there's the blue Pyramid hugger to which a big square piece seems to have snapped off - you can kinda see where I tried to plastibond some wiremesh and use body filler to recreate it, so I had something to bolt the plate and indie brackets into (but its heavy, far too flimsy)

I'm not sure how it looks stock which doesnt help.

Any ideas on what I need to look for to be able to re-secure the backend?

The underside looks like my Pyramid undertray, so not standard, the sidepanels & the rest look OEM

So what do I need to buy to replace the broken bits?

Is the undertray (I think the bit that incorporates the battery tray) and the hugger separate on stock bikes or is it 2 pieces like here, except I have a Pyramid hugger?

Ah, I can see that the end of your undertray has cracked & fallen off

Have a look at mine & you can see whats missing

Stock undertray (snowplough) is also one piece, just looks ugly

You'll need a new undertray to replace your broken one

Hugger is what goes over the rear wheel

Aha ok - thanks for that :)

So assuming I want to just get a standard hugger on there...can I just buy a standard hugger and it will bolt straight on, replacing the Pyramid one?

Everytime I say hugger I mean undertray :D

So this is the piece I need and it will get me back to stock?

Silly Hong!

Yes, you can replace the Pyramid one with the OEM undertray

Someone on here must have one kicking about

Yes, but you might need the OEM indicators.

Do you HAVE to use the stock indies with snowplough?

maviczap

Don't know, but I reckon you can use yours with some Indy Spaces purchased

But can't guarantee this

Nice one.

:)

Start counting pennies now, esp with 2 new tyres required as well as 8000 other things to fix.
