I've used both the Maxxis Sports and Sports Touring. I rate them both on the SV. I've not tried them, but I imagine the Diamonds would be just as good.

Diamonds are great, they're the first tyres I've had that I felt confident with in the rain. That said, the Supermax touring deal is a great price, especially if you can get them fitted cheap enough.

I know a bloke down the road who fits bike tyres, £50 fitted ride in ride out. He going to try and source the tyres for me im assuming he can get some discount :smt041

Hes good, takes his time. I had a puncture fixed by him some time ago all good.

He also mention that puncture stop stuff, sprays onto inside of tyres before the go onto the rims apparently you can pull nails straight back out and repairs itself practically???

My Tyre guy has told me they don't make the diamonds to suit the SV, front diamond would be a 120 70 17

There are lots of posts about fitting 60_ 70 ratio tyre on the sv.
Search on hear.then decide for your self.
I didnt feel it made any difference to my old curvey.

I used maxis super max touring on my old curvy, rear lasted about 12k miles, so I had another fitted. Good tyre for its price.

wow, that stuff looks impressive, watch the video of a wheel going over a bed of nails.
I might get the 5l pump at £75 and just do all my vehicles.

although; reading all the literature, one lot says to remove the valve core with the tool supplied, one says not to as valve leaks have been detected, one says one pump of the dispenser inserts 1 unit of product, another says it inserts 9 units. Not reassuring.

It used to be sold as Ultraseal.

I've used it and it does indeed do an impressive job where punctures are concerned.

You do get tyre places that will moan about it....it's understandable as most places only(then) had experience of puncture products that were not water soluble.

When it was time for a new tyre, I just inform the tyre place and before they started( or finished) their moan lol , made it clear I'm happy to clean the wheel myself. Took literally seconds to clean it off.

I haven't used it for a while now though.

I'm going to give it a try it should soon prove its worth... Had a screw in my front couple months ago that cost me 25quid to repair. I'll make a new thread should it be good/bad let yous know what I think

hears why I'm a bit wearie of tyre selants.

The bod bought it in because he thought its balance was out after filling with sealer .as it keept going flat but couldn't see why.
