but not out.

slid on a patch of gravel pulling into the Lix Toll and hit the ground a bit heavy and doing so popped his shoulder out. so he got a ride in a meemaw.

he's fine. bikes fine just a bit scraped.

oooft! A year to the day since my off! At least it doesnt sound too terrible.

GWS Peter!! Plenty of rest and pain killers. Hope you've someone on hand to bring you a dram or two!

:(dislocated left shoulder,xray show a small fracture on the ball of the humerous.
sore when I move the arm.co-codamol 8/500 for pain and using collar and cuff to support the arm.

Hope you haven't got a lot of soft tissue damage----did the same sort of thing myself and it took ages[still not 100%] and that was several years ago now.
Hope you are well enough soon to enjoy the rest of the summer--good luck

quick update....
still sore with large bruising to upper arm,
some small bruising showing up on left chest.
Advised by ortho consultant to start exercising the arm.
will be seen at the clinic 7 august

Slow recovery, have a physio regime of 12 excercises to do 3 times a day.
Have regular physio appointments.
They have been measuring the degree range of movements in the arm,much improvement over the last few weeks. The arm remains painfull mainly around the shoulder, and certain movements.

Have now sorted the minor damage to fairing.. resprayed (by self)
Replaced gear change lever.
Took bike out for a short run this morning, everything seems to be
running OK ,First run out since July. No problem's noted to my left
arm and shoulder. Roll on Summer. :D

Its just over a year since my off :(

Busy year last year with the wedding etc.
