note to self, remove before hand, took my speedo drive out.
more redfaced, foolish and gutted than having to buy a new unit.
fleabay is £43 used and new is £69, no brainer really, new one ordered.
i suppose having an old mans cruiser now shows my memory is going.
just kicking myself now.
buy a reminder. they are those springy plastic key chain things, one end goes on disc lock other end on throttle/clutch grip.

its the arrghhhhh factor of doing it!!
still could have been worse, bike didnt topple, but to only own 3 weeks do it :smt062
Buy an alarmed disk lock - Xena. Gives a beep before you ride off !!!

A former colleague chained his scooter to a parking meter. Ended up trashing the scooter and Westminster council billed him for repairing the parking meter. Double fail but he was an utter kn0b so I had no sympathy.
