Bike parking in Basingstoke

Where's the safest, freeist place to park a bike in Basingstoke? I need to get to the Apple store in Festival place so don't want to be too far away as I'll boil if I have to walk far.

there's a car park opposite the jaguar/land rover garage. That's not too far from festival place and can park for free too

I was thinking more like festival place itself or a pavement within staggering distance. I need a commute of less than 50 meters if in full kit in this weather.

1. There is so much scantily clad totty walking around Basingstoke it's mad. I think the college must have closed for summer.

2. If you follow the signs for "top of the town" and drive through the carpark it seems you can park outside of Debenhams on the pavement. There were 3 bikes parked there when I got there and six when I left.

I always used to park next to M&S, if you go through the tunnel by eastrop roundabout and take the first left immediately after the tunnel, there's a bike rack just past M&S.
