We only do the A830 back to the A861 so its only about 10 miles of overlap. Plus I've got us going round the B8008 which is a little bit tight but the views out over the sea are lovely and so worth it.

Stayed at the hotel this weekend courtesy of MotoGoLoco (http://www.motogoloco.com/macdonald-hotel-and-cabins-ac-47-a-81) (excellent chaps, you should check out their website) and had a great time. 40 odd of us should just about take the place over, a prospect the owners seemed cheerfully enthusiastic about. Couple of photos...
Cresting right hander leading into sweeping downhill left/right combination, just the tiniest taster of the Scotburgring. On our lap we encountered one vehicle, the local bus, which pulled over to let us past just before a delicious nadgery bit. Top driver! The hotel is the building slightly off to the left of the village, super picturesque.
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r161/tigerboz55/Scotburgring.jpg
View from the Presidential Suite. Wee cabins looking very cosy, if somewhat lacking in the ensuite and power shower type things the softer Orgers seem to require...

Top venue, top roads, we're going to have some very serious big fun this year I think. :-)

I work on the primary school teacher ethos on things so if Dave is bringing himself a sheep (be it sitting or standing) he better bring enough for everyone cause I ain't sharing. If there aren't enough for everyone the sheep will be confiscated and may be returned at the end of the GM, unless love blossoms and then they're mine...

That road heading north from Brora will be good fun, that's the route when me and my fishing buddies head north. The chippy in Helmsdale is feckin' awesome too btw. It's called La Mirage.
tiz a pity i'll be around helmsdale at 12-1 or i would have made it my T stop.
i took your advice last year about the pie shop. great pies but i nearly had a fekin stroke at the prices. but yes i will be having lunch there again this year :-)
Aye, great pies. Did they still serve only mash and greens with them? The mash was pretty good, to be fair.
had the soup bought the pies for later. munched them while sat in a hostel in Skye with a coffee chatting to some nice German bloke who knew more about Scotland than i did. turns out he had been coming to Scotland since he was 8, he even sounded Scottish :-)
BTW. in case people dont know there is a chip shop in Kinlochleven http://goo.gl/maps/YL51N
dont know if it's still open as its been yeeeeaaarrrrsss since i last visited but i used to visit it once a year for many years.

*ACCOMMODATION UPDATE*
I've just been speaking to the very lovely Helen @ The MacDonald Hotel (http://www.motogoloco.com/macdonald-hotel-and-cabins-ac-47-a-81), they currently have the following rooms available for GM weekend...
3 x Twin Rooms
1 x Triple Room
All the cabins are now fully booked up, so if you're looking for a comfy bed for the weekend, you'd best pull the finger out and get yourselves booked in pronto!
(Oh, and yes - I did book myself in whilst I was on the phone - see you there ya filthy animals!)

Managed to grab 10 mins to draw up the routes on MotoGoLoco Maps, which means you've now got the facility to download them all into pretty much whatever file format your SatNav needs (GPX, ITN, KML and a few others).

if I dont get organised I'll leave it till the morning and panic. I'm the sort of idiot that changes his mind the night before a trip and leaves things behind in the other luggage, things like all your spending money for a bike trip to Spain.

I want to fit everything into either two 20l kriega tail packs, or one pack and a backpack. I've done the week away with large panniers, 80litre roll bag, tent and sleeping back on top of that and tank bag. Makes getting on and off the bike interesting, and loading it up even more so.
