seems a lot of money for not that much bike, and its still 4 years old, worth i would say about 2.6k to 2.8k max as a private sale,if its a garage they will have hiked the price up by 1k to make a profit
one of the mates got one recently and it's nice. very low seat hight on it though, that low i can get on it without modification. a nice and smooth with a sit up and relax position.
For a moment I thought we were talking Jags

Mates had one for three years from new, just over 21,000 miles on it now. Has been faultless and he loves it.

Killer is the insurance! took it for test ride Saturday, SO weird riding inline 4 after SV for 2 years, then weird getting back on SV after.
gotta say tho SV was exciting just to get back on after test ride! The xj6 felt really under-powered, Is that just part of goin from vtwin to il4!?

V-twin = Noise + power(Squared) :smt040
Friend of mine has switch from sv650s to kawasaki z750 inline 4. I must say it is quick on straights at least but i keep up ok and he's a better more experienced rider on the road.
The Sv makes all the noise at the lights though haha
Its However you feel when riding it that counts whatever the bike

The xj6 felt really under-powered, Is that just part of goin from vtwin to il4!?the xj6 is aimed at the commuter type market,so comparing it to sports bike is only ever going to be disapointment,(i know they are both similar horse power)but if you were to go from a large sports bike to a sv650 i think you would be disapointed with the sv's lack of hp,"just saying"!!!!!!!!!!!!
what i find when it comes to riding bikes(and i have smaller less hp bikes)is that the bare minimum hp you/i need to have fun on a bike is 110hp,any thing less struggles to do the speed i need, but thats just me!

The XJ6 has quite a flat torque curve and not a lot seems to happen, even though it does have similar power to the SV. Whereas the V twin even at low revs makes some entertaining snuffling and snorting and feels like it's doing something. Real world speed not a massive difference.
