If anyone is free on Sunday the 4th of August and in the Elgin area come and join us for my bike clubs annual charity Poker Run.

The run is about 135 miles long and is not a race just a great run out and all the proceeds go to local charities. Entry is £10 and includes a drink and meal from the burger van.

The raffle draw will be held after everyone gets back and there's always lot's of bikes and great banter. Raffle tickets are £1 each with many prizes the top 3 being an Ipad, £200 and £100

Starts and finishes at Tom Adamson's bike shop, where I'm a mechanic! registration is between 11am to 12 noon.

For those who don't know Elgin it's behind MacDonald's on the A96.

Hope to see a lot of you there.

Come and say Hi, my bike is a gorgeous CBR 600 FS2, blue and white and my wee brothers is an SV650 K3 in silver (if I can get in repaired in time!!)

Thanks, the more the merrier. The run is in memory of fallen bikers and to put something back to the local community. My bike club which runs it does a lot of charity work and a lot to promote safer riding in the form of discounted IAM courses and safety courses.

Hopefully we'll see a few of you there

Thanks to everyone who came to the Poker Run, we made just under £3000 for charity after taking off all the expenses. It was a great turn out, approximately 135 bikes and a few classic cars. Next year I'll post earlier about it so you have more time to organize it. If anyone is at the annual Grampian Motorcycle Convention at Alford on September the 8th our club will have a stand and hopefully I'll be on the team for the moped mayhem race, so might see some of you there.

Thanks again for everyone who supported the Poker Run
