Holiday snap from Crete this year, walking the hills on the coastline in 40c... Was awesome, and beautiful.

Panoramic view from the deck behind the cottage we rented just two weeks ago. The water meadows and mill stream of Sudbury in Suffolk.
As this is hosted on Photobucket it will probably come out all grainy, in which case I'll go though last years and find something else...

Mine isn't your traditional holiday snap, but I don't do beaches and sunbathing! This is at the Thai boxing in Chiang Mai.
Quite grainy as no flash is permitted and the lights are kept low. Taken on a Canon 60D at f2.8, 70mm, 3200 ISO, 100th of a second with no tripod, just a steady hand.

I was lucky enough to catch this at about 6am on the grand canal in Venice. Only the night before I had watched the documentary Earthflight and how they had had to obtain special permission to fly over London. And there they are above me as I am trying to get an epic shot of a Venice monument. Truely a holiday "snap" instead of a composed image.

Tough one this month, podium places for dkid =0/ and G
but my vote goes to
Sandman
LPH. There is a lot of atmosphere in the shot and the noise works well.

Sandman - simple and uncluttered composition that draws the eye. Runner up for me is Keith d - wonderful colours.
Here's me guns.
EDIT :- Photo comp is closed for entrys as of midnight last night bud, sorry.
Richie.
