If you've got BT broadband it's free all the time. If you've not for BT broadband then it's just free for the launch.

Virgin media are in talks to bring their customers BT sport too.

BT have taken over ESPN which was previously free on Virgins top package. ESPN will no longer be available to virgin customers so talks are apparently ongoing to provide access to BT sport as a replacement.

But would be on a pay for basis then?

Cannot get ADSL/infinity broadband as I live in a "not spot".

What are my choices to watch it on the goggle box.

Frontrow website might have it streamed. Don't know, never heard of it before the other week.

Otherwise moto gp season pass, at current rates I think it works out to £5 ish per race.

Both will be to stream on pc/laptop

Otherwise if you can't can't get non cable broadband think you can get it on sky as a subscription package but don't know if you need the Internet for it.

You can subscribe via Sky <here (http://www.bt.com/sport/BT-Sport-on-Sky/index.html)>

But I have to pay for sky.

Is it not coming to freeview?

Freeview with subscription. You'll need a viewing card of some sort. I think the only way to get if for free today is if you have BT broadband.

Sport has not been free for years through legit channels. I'm sure there'll be some way to get it free via Turkey or the moon or something in time but for now I think it's all locked down.

Remains to be seen

Hmmm cheers dkid, my mate has the top package with vm so hoping it isn't an additional sub.

If they do it as a swap for espn I may be spending a lot more time at his haha

Via Virgin is still a subscription it's just that they'll bundle it into your virgin subs. Basically options are:-
1. Subscribe to BT broadband and get it included with your broadband subscription via BT vision or internet app.
2. Subscribe to Sky and add the sport subscription
3. Subscribe to Virgin and once they get the agreement in place your Virgin subscription will provide Sport

PS, I should make it clear I am employed by BT in case anyone gets upset thinking I'm actually trying to sell this to you lot. Personally I'm really not bothered about sport on TV but have had all the PR forced on me for the last few months.

There is a 4th isn't there?

For free through sky tv if you have bt broadband, or has that been dropped?

I'm on XL package with virgin so I used to get ESPN included in my bundle. If virgin media can agree a deal to show BT sport I'd hope I will be getting it at no extra cost to replace the loss of sports viewing from the outgoing ESPN.
Otherwise I will be expecting a reduction in the cost of my monthly subscription.

As far as i can see if you get bt sports you'll be getting espn as well. And at only 12 a month on top of sky bill it aint that bad compared to sky at 22 odd. You get a hell of a lot more for you money. Seria A, UFC, League 1, not to mention the GP racing. Might have to give it a go for a month or 2.

I thought BT had taken over the running of ESPN over here? Now virgin have got BT on board I now get ESPN back again where as previously I had lost it.

ahhhh I misunderstood it then.

I took it as it was a wave bye bye to ESPN, it wasnt instead it just seems they've merged... Bonus! :)
