View Full Version : Torx bolts to remove ignition barrel?

I am replacing my clipons with a yoke conversion and need to get hold of the special torx like tool to undo my ignition barrel, does anyone know where i can get one or are they a suzuki only tool i have to get from them?

Cuz if so halfords sell em. I thought with some barrels you need to grind/cut off some rivets too iirc?

Pretty common things. Think it's T40 if I remember right. You can get them on ebay

tiz a security 6 point T40. you need the hole in the middle.

They will probably be a ******* to get out, as Mr Suzuki, he use a lot of thread lock on them
ooohhh and turn the yoke over on the forks so the bolt is facing you then before you try and take it off put a good and hot soldering iron on the bolt for a good 5 mins to soften the threadlock.
