Did anyone else nearly shed a tear at the end of today's episode?
The boys get a lot of stick for teeting around a lot, but that was a great piece.
(And the new Jag got me going too!)
The last 10 mins is well worth watching! Didn't realise so much was built here!

As I've put on fb, that was best episode for a while, that F type is something else, pure motoring porn, I need one of them in my garage.

T'was a good last 10 mins, the interview with Webber was also entertaining.
Best episode of the season, all about cars, they even drove an F1 car past my local curry house!
Wark Webber came across as a bit of a penis but much better to see an F1 driver being interviewed than some bored hollywood "star".

I was driving home the other day and i was coming off the roundabout near home. I saw one of these in my rear view mirror properly cranking it. I wound down the window just before it went blistering past. Fook it sounded good on the gas, but when it was on the over run at the bottom of the hill for the next roundabout it sounded epic!

It was a good one - loved the bit taking the p*ss out of the footballers in Wilmslow as I live in the area and have put up with them.
Re the F1 cars - they must have had to close every single bit of road they drove on musn't they? Fair bit of work there...

Yes they did, closed all the roads for most of last Sunday. That Astra they were overtaking wan't a member of the public.

That new Jag looks good - sadly I wasn't able to get up to Birmingham with the rest of the cricket media to have a play in it as they all got to go round the track with some of the England and Aussie players. Expect the car park at Lord's to be full of these at the next Test as England contracted players all get a Jag as part of their deal.

It's been said in a program several years ago about the shift in the UK's economy. That we are focusing on the bits where there is more value (design and advertising). Yeah we still make a few whole vehicles, but far far more expensive components, like engines etc.
There's not a lot of money to be made pressing steal for example, its real low end cheap stuff (sheet metal goes in, bonnet comes out), very little value to be added. But putting an engine together, even if they are high volume on a production line, takes skill.
Also it's probably very expensive to ship a tractor. Doesn't fit in a container.

Without getting to technical about it you would be surprised just how few offences would be committed if they just got one off the trailer and drove it through central London on open roads.....
An F1 car isn't a ""motor vehicle" as defined by the Road Traffic Act so they don't need insurance or driving licences and most of the Con and Use regulations don't apply either....

Stop trying to get me into trouble.... You can't make it legal, it's just not as naughty as you might think!
